The Client, a 25 year-old delivery person for a local Moody Street Chinese Restaurant, contacted Criminal Defense Attorney Steven J. Topazio after receiving a civil motor vehicle citation for running a red light. The ticket alleged the Client ran a red light at 12:45 am on way to a delivery. The Client had received several moving violations in the past and was in jeopardy of having his license suspended due to this violation. Today, Attorney Topazio argued that his client did not interfere with the motoring public in the early morning hours and was operating safely despite the red light violation. Attorney Topazio was able to persuade the Magistrate to give his Client the benefit of the doubt arguing that his Client was distracted by following his GPS due to making a delivery to Regis College which was outside his normal delivery route.
